April 5th 2015 London U.K. - Announcement of the official launch of the unique new TRUSTED CCTV ( Part2 ) Operational Standards for existing systems

April 15th 2015 London U.K. - TRUSTED CCTV's new online e-Store goes live, with Security Camera System Operational Standards available to purchase for the first time.

About the TRUSTED CCTV Improvement Project:-

Originally launched back in 2007, the concept of improving video surveillance performance, is based squarely on the idea of achieving "Target Recognition Using Surveillance Technology for Evidence and Detection", hence the acronym TRUSTED©

Initial work was directed towards developing an appropriate technical evaluation for CCTV cameras, to allow individuals to make an accurate 'self assessment' of a specific cameras effectiveness in a number of key areas, and consequently highlight performance issues more easily. In addition, the VIPER (Video Image Performance Evaluation Report) was developed to provide an independent means to assess camera set-up, and technical suitability within a range of defined operational objectives. The VIPER camera evaluation has since been developed as 'own use' documents, both in VIPER 'Lite' and VIPER 'Pro' formats.

Whilst the existing documents are currently being updated, a number of additional stages are also being progressed, including ...

• A detailed product Classification System for a broad range of CCTV and IP Video equipment,
TRUSTED© CCTV 'Operational Standards for planned (Part 1) and existing (Part2) Security Camera Systems
TRUSTED© CCTV 'Product' Compliance Marks, for use on equipment at the point of manufacture,
TRUSTED© CCTV 'Application Profiles' providing details on the most appropriate CCTV solution for a particular situation,
TRUSTED© CCTV multi level Operational Standards - Part 2 for existing security camera systems

TRUSTED© CCTV 'Performance' Mark (evaluation and compliance certification) for operational Video Record systems,
TRUSTED© CCTV evaluations and performance completion Certification for installed CCTV equipment,
TRUSTED© CCTV 'Notification' Marks and Signage to help define operational objectives, in a more open and transparent way,
TRUSTED© CCTV Compliance Levels for Data Retention, Data Access and Privacy Impacts
